Commissions
Commissioning a painting invites the calm, coastal beauty you love to be created just for your home—designed to reflect your colors, your light, and your sense of place.
Why Commission?
Commissioning an original painting means that you can have created exactly what you are looking for, rather than having to shop around for something that works. Choose the exact size and color palette to fit your space like a glove. By discussing your preferences for colors, textures, and overall feel you want the piece to evoke with Martha, you can have a work that perfectly complements the feeling you desire in your surroundings.
Some Thoughts About Our Collaboration
Martha enjoys creating a piece that incorporates your vision – including your preferred subject matter and color palette. In order for you to have the best results, that will come when you trust in her artistic process.
Think of it like dining at a fine restaurant. You might request a seafood dish with Mediterranean flavors, but you'd trust the chef to work their magic rather than dictating each ingredient and technique. When artists have the freedom to interpret and create, they can tap into their expertise and often exceed expectations in ways neither of us might have imagined.
Your input provides the crucial foundation and inspiration. From there, her experience with composition, technique, and artistic intuition will bring the piece to life in a way that's both authentic and aligned with your wishes.
Looking forward to creating something extraordinary together!

Client Review:
Martha was delightful to work with in every way. She asked me questions to be sure she fully understood what I wanted in my painting, she gave me several rough drafts as we got closer to the perfect result, she was flexible and open all along the way and even came to my home to see the surrounding space where the painting would live. I couldn't recommend her more. A. Sabbag "Beautiful Every Time", 30" x 30"
From the Studio: Insights and Inspirations
The Colors You Live With Matter
We spend a great deal of time thinking about how our homes look. But perhaps an even more important question is: How does your home make you feel? Color is part of our everyday environment. It surrounds us when we wake up, when we gather with people we love, and when we return home at the end of the day. The colors we choose can help create spaces that feel joyful, peaceful, energetic, welcoming, or restorative. A few things to think about when choosing the colors you live with: Color can influence the mood of a room.Soft blues may create a feeling of calm and openness. Turquoise and aqua can feel refreshing and uplifting. Warm colors can bring energy, comfort, and a sense of welcome. Your surroundings become part of your everyday experience. We see the walls, objects, and artwork in our homes thousands of times. Choosing colors that make you feel good can add small moments of pleasure to ordinary days. Color can bring life to a quiet space.A room does not need to be filled with color to feel vibrant. Sometimes one beautiful piece of art can completely change the energy of a space. The colors you love are personal.Trends come and go. The colors that make you stop, smile, remember, or feel something belong to you. Nature offers some of the best inspiration. The blues of the ocean. The turquoise of shallow water. The warmth of sunlight. The unexpected colors of a sunset. Nature reminds us that beautiful colors were never meant to be timid. Art can change how a room feels without changing everything else. You do not always need new furniture, new paint, or an entirely new room. The right artwork can bring movement, personality, and emotion into the space you already have. Living with art is different from simply looking at it.The artwork you choose becomes part of the rhythm of your life. You pass it in the morning. You notice it from across the room. Over time, it becomes part of the feeling of home. Perhaps the most important question when choosing color or art isn't: “Does this match my room?” Maybe it is: “How do I want to feel when I walk into this room?” Calm. Joyful. Energized. Peaceful. Inspired. There is no single right answer. Only the feeling you want to live with. Choose the Feeling You Want to Live With.
